If you have hired your SEO company and they have worked hard to give you the rankings you want but you are still finding that you don’t see a lot of traffic as a result, here are a few of the reasons why.
You may find that you are seeing rankings that are personalized or localized. Make sure your SEO company is giving your rankings for outside your region.
For example, you may appear at the top of hyper-personalized and local results but not on a national or global scale for that keyword.
You might need to revaluate your keywords. Your keywords might not match your intent. Keywords can mean different things to different people. If your keyword is the name of another popular company you may find that people will bypass your site because what you are selling isn’t exactly what they were looking for. This shows the importance of working with your SEO company to get the right keywords and to sometimes use two- or three-word keywords in your search and focus on those rankings.
The last problem is your results don’t get clicked. This shows the importance of good content. If your competitors have good content or great offers, more people may be clicking on their website instead of yours.
So now what do you do?
If you find you are ranking but aren’t experiencing any traffic don’t worry, SEO is not a lost cause for you. Work with your SEO company to get to the root of the problem. You may just find you need a simple change in your strategy. Remember ranking in one term helps boost your chances for ranking for related terms so you may find you have traffic soon.
