Overview: Create & Share Your Own Free Tool–Yes You Can!
When it comes to your product or service, you know best. So who better to offer advice, answer questions, and share awesome free tools for your current (and soon-to-be) customers? No one! Have fun with this tactic and enjoy the rewards when you generate conversions. Think of some tips and tricks that you frequently use–ones that have helped you become the business wizard you are today. Which of your enchanted resources are you ready to share with the world?
Pick something original, useful, and (somewhat) effortless to create. Then, use your magic words to cast the ultimate marketing spell over your interested parties:
here’s a tool
we created just for you.
Your email address
is all it takes,
to give your strategy a shake!
STEP ONE: Make a list of potential tools you think might be a fit for your brand and your fans. Keep in mind that your resource should be helpful and have value for your target audience. But–it should also be quick and easy for you to create and help you achieve your ultimate goal: adding more prospects to your list.
STEP TWO: Choose one tool from your “maybe pile” and begin developing it. Start simple with a reference chart, template or outline, marketing calendar, cheat sheet, guidelines, top 10 list, etc.
STEP THREE: What are you going to do with your tool? Some ideas to consider: include it in a blog post, make it the focal point of a new landing page, place it directly on your homepage, or talk about it on social media. No matter where you promote your new tool, make sure that in order to secure a copy, individuals must use an opt-in form. The opt-in should require (at the very least) first names and email addresses. Use SharpSpring to set up a marketing automation drip sequence that starts with a ”thank you for downloading” email, followed by a special offer, and a follow-up.
