OVERVIEW – CREATE ORIGINAL GRAPHICS FOR SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT
Think of your social media platforms as fashion runways – places to show off your brand’s newest products and boldest content. And there’s no better way to grab attention than by incorporating original graphics into your social media strategy. Give your followers an eye-catching reason to stop scrolling and start clicking.
STEP ONE: Take a look at your competitors’ social media pages. See what they’re doing – so you can do even better. Decide which types of designs you’d like to start with: text-heavy quotes, abstract art, product images, infographic-style informative pieces, etc.
STEP TWO: Create your images using one of the suggestions from our Resources and Tools section below. We’ve listed tools that you can use on your own if you’re just getting started, as well as professional programs a graphic designer might opt for.
STEP THREE: Decide how your new images will fit in with your current content calendar. Will you post them sporadically at first to test engagement? Schedule them strategically throughout the week? Align your ideas with holidays, product launches, seasons or sales? Once you have a plan, start sharing your graphics! To find out which sizes you should create for each social platform, check out this article.
